About Rockland Hospital

Rockland Hospital has played a pioneering role in defining quality standards for the Indian Health Care Industry by bringing the thought leaders of the industry on one platform to set the standards for Quality, Technology and Management of Health Care in India.

Rockland played an important role in drafting the NABH standards for ensuring certification of quality standards in India. NABH Certification pilot project was carried out in Rockland in 2005. A dedicated team of doctors contributed to setting quality standards for the Indian Health Care industry and today NABH certification is recognized by various organizations as a basis for pricing and accreditation.

Rockland has set the trends of using appropriate technology and management practices suited to Indian conditions to ensure that the cost of health care does not go as high as it is in the developed countries. Training and education tools developed by Rockland rely more on demonstration and on the job learning instead of class room type of learning which is difficult to standardize in a multi lingual society in India.

Rockland Hospital from its inception started as a Practicing and Teaching Hospital for DNB students. It has been successfully teaching DNB students in Orthopaedics, Family Medicine and Anaesthesia with excellent results. Thursdays are used for Continuous Medical Education (CME). These CMEs are attended some of the best names from the industry. The Corporate Communication team at Rockland shares this knowledge through its extensive media network.

Rockland Hospital has set the trend for environmentally friendly buildings matching international standards in India. Hospital architecture has a welcoming design from the outside as well as in the lobby and other areas inside resembling a five star hotel instead of a conventional hospital building. Each hospital has ensured full utilization of natural light and air circulation with a pleasant view. The Manesar facility has gone several steps forward in building an ancillary unit with rooms fully equipped for assisted living for geriatric patients, disabled and international patients. This unit has a swimming pool on top and has provision for yoga, alternative therapies, spa, gym and speciality restraints with a club like environment near the super speciality hospital. Noida Hospital too will have similar facilities.
